Following the insights of our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a Digital India,“We must bridge digital divide and ensure digital literacy”, the team of NSS SoEE organized a Digital Awareness Campaign on this day as a part of the ‘NSS SoEE Special Camp 2022.’The volunteers visited Injana, the adopted village under NSS SoEE, wherein they demonstrated the various uses of digital media. Delivering the various implementations and uses of digital platforms, the volunteers explained to the villagers about the ease and comfort that technology can promise. The team interacted with the village kids, and demonstrated the usage of youtube, google and other online platforms for educational as well as leisure purposes. The kids were essentially enthralled on watching the wide and fun range of educational aids that they found on the internet. The older section of the village was educated about the various modes and methods of online payment. While few of the crowd was already familiar with the same, the others were thrilled to learn about the time effectiveness of online payment platforms such as Paytm, UPI, GPay, PhonePe, etc.

The main purpose of this day was to educate the people over there about online payment. The volunteers took up the topics of UPI and its advantages. They also made the people aware of online fraud. They explained a lot about online payment and also asked the people about their issues related to digital payment. The outcome of this day was a huge success.
