Day 1
There were lots of enthusiastic volunteers who had taken part in this camp from waiting for bus at 3 pm near KIIT-TBI to going back to hostel, home at evening. This camp was held in Bangalisahi village, where people there are very calm and composed. The people there were very happy while seeing us coming in their place after a very long time. We explained that this one week NSS Special camp, we will try to engage the villagers in many activities such as Gupchup competition for adults, Lemon and Spoon Race, Singing, Dancing, Rangoli for the children, cricket match for big boys and dancing competition for ladies there. The venue for the entire competition was in Refugee Colony Primary School. The competitions for children were been done of Day 1.
Day 2
Then on the next day camp, i.e, Day 2, the main objective was all about spreading awareness on Safe drinking water and its importance. In this awareness,all the volunteers were divided into 5 groups in which, senior volunteers in each group coordinated further and then the volunteers reached every doorstep and spoke to the villagers regarding the water scarcity situation in the village , according to them the problems stated were 1) No water supply even the pipelines were provided, and the reason for it was not known, 2) Even in the presence of wells, they were not maintained properly, due to which they cannot used it for drinking purposes, 3)Water in some wells were highly contaminated with iron pollutants and bad odour. After the awareness drive, a melodious programme was held in which both adults and children from the village assembled and enjoyed themselves my singing beautiful songs of various types, including folk song, hindi, odia song etc. The programme was followed by, Gupshup making competition for the villages which was done in post lunch session.
Day 3

Day 4
Day 4 camp was all about conductance of Lemon in the spoon race competition both for women and children of the village, and the winners were also declared on the same time after the entire competition.
Followed by, Sanitary napkin distribution awareness by the NSS volunteers. Only female volunteers were allowed to lead the later plan of the camp. According to the female volunteers, the reason for napkin distribution awareness were the followings, 1) Some people use without knowing its essence, 2) Some people avoids and 3) Some people doesn’t even knows about sanitary napkins. Hence the awareness programme was conducted to make certain points clear about it, which were as follows, 1) Use of sanitary napkins are more hygienic than using ordinary clothes , which the villagers often do during their menstrual cycle. 2) Sanitary napkins can be disposed after use, unlike ordinary clothes which have to be washed after every use. 3) Sanitary pads prevent stains on garments, unpleasant odour. 4) Sanitary pads prevent any kind of infection.

Day 5
The NSS Volunteers, under the direction of Dr. Prabhat Kumar Rout, undertook a cleanliness drive on Day 5 at the Dhauli Shanti Stupa. They were transported there by bus from KIIT DU at 15:20. The volunteers were divided into 4 groups of 7–10 people each after arriving at the location at 16:10. Gloves and trash bags were provided for the volunteers. Several regions within and around the Stupa’s grounds were covered by each group. The senior volunteers and Prabhat Sir oversaw the groups.
The waste collected included plastic bags, bottles, wrappers from different sauces and snacks, etc. Both within the cleaning facility and in front of the monument, pictures were clicked. The whole NSS volunteer team made it a special day from visiting significant historical site and to help preserving its holiness and cleanliness by conducting the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan mission there.

Day 6
For Day 6, the main motto was to conduct a friendly cricket match in Bengalisahi Village and to spread awareness about the importance of using sanitary napkins with explanations, which were conducted by the NSS volunteers. During the awareness of napkin distribution, 28 female volunteers split up into 4 groups, each of which was led by a senior volunteer from the third year, and each group had 7 volunteers.
Volunteers went door to door to explain how to use sanitary napkins and to talk about how to properly dispose of used sanitary napkins. After this awareness drive, the male volunteers organised a cricket game with the local kids, in which the volunteers and the NSS coordinator, Dr. Prabhat Sir, also took part. A few of the volunteers also went to a panipuri shop because that is where they made the most of their money. The panipuri vendor was really courteous and provided a harmonious service. After arriving back to the college, sweet packets were given out, and all the volunteers were posed for a group photo with the entire NSS team.

Day 7
Day 7 was the concluding day of the entire NSS Special camp 2023 in which firstly, a small program was conducted by the NSS volunteer team in which the host of the program was Dr. Prabhat Rout Sir, chairman of Bangalisahi village and our KIIT Alumni Soumya Biswas, who graduated in year 2021, in his college’s senior year, he was also the coordinator of the NSS-KSBT family. The program started by the welcome speech given by Dr. Prabhat sir, and then it was followed by a beautiful message to the entire people of villages and NSS team by Soumya Biswas, who said, be good by doing good and and he also said how glad he was after visiting this same village with memories after a very long time. Then the program was followed by dancing performaces by the volunteers, and some did their singing performances. After the whole performances, we had prize distribution ceremony of the various competitions and activities which were done in previous camp days of 2023, organized by NSS- KSBT.
