As nursing professionals in training, our overarching vision is to extend the healing touch beyond hospital walls and directly into the heart of the communities that need it most. We believe that true healthcare is deeply rooted in empathy, education, and proactive public health initiatives. Through continuous health camps, hygiene awareness drives, and compassionate outreach programs, our volunteers consistently strive to nurture a healthier, more informed society. We are not just learning to treat illnesses; we are profoundly committed to holistic well-being and preventative care. The NSS unit of KSBT is committed to promoting social responsibility, community service, and environmental awareness among students. Throughout the year, it organizes several impactful activities that encourage active participation and civic engagement. One of its major initiatives is the Blood Donation Camp, where students and faculty voluntarily donate blood to support patients in need and raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation. The unit also conducts Cleanliness Drives in and around the campus to promote hygiene, sanitation, and a cleaner environment. In addition, Plantation Drives are organized to encourage environmental conservation, increase green cover, and spread awareness about sustainable living. Through these activities, the NSS unit of KSBT instills the values of compassion, teamwork, discipline, and service, inspiring students to become responsible and socially conscious citizens

Project Vidhi Prabha brings legal awareness to the public, while Kala Krutya uses art and culture to engage communities and convey social messages. The Each One Teach One initiative shows the unit’s belief in education as empowerment, with volunteers regularly visiting Anganwadi to teach and support children. Behind these efforts, the Documentation, Social Media, Photography, Technical, and Disciplinary teams ensure every initiative is well planned, executed, recorded, and shared.

NSS (National Service Scheme) Dental Wing, the work agenda can be centered on community oral-health service, prevention, awareness, screening, and referral which fits the broader NSS goal of community service and the objectives of India’s National Oral Health Programme. NSS Dental Wing – - Oral health awareness events are conducted, where Oral hygiene and correct brushing technique are demonstrated, Awareness on dental caries and gum diseases, Diet and oral health counselling, School dental health programmes, Dental screening of school children are organised once in every month positively apart from special or collaboration with other NSS wing or any special event. - We have adopted a complete village and have irradicated their oral health issues -Tobacco cessation & oral cancer awareness rallies on road along with educating the shop vender as well as the customers about the hazards of tobacco consumption - Teaching Oral self-examination awareness to anganwadi heads for early detection of any kind of oral malignancy or any benign oral lesions -Oral health of elderly people , Children with special needs, Pregnant women are also conducted on regular basis.
